How You Can Help - Supplies

One of the major barriers in acquiring high school education is not having the means to buy basic school supplies. A recent study revealed that an increase in textbook availability doubled the number of kids enrolling into secondary school.

We work directly with schools and assess their needs. The orders are based on specifications from the school - Uniform size as specified, bag, textbook according to grade, notebook and pen. The orders are placed with local suppliers – this is done to promote local trade. Clients have the option to drop off the school supplies en-route on their safari when arranged in advance.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Donation options and levels are guides to give donors an idea of how far their contribution can go and items that may be needed. Actual supplies delivered to each school/organization depend on priority need at the time of donation. Kensington Cares ensures strict quality checks to ensure there is no waste.

Scholarship funding is invested in two ways (1) to ensure that the sponsored child is able to attend school, that fees and other school-related costs (e.g. uniforms, school supplies) are covered and (2) to provide support to the school to support priority items that benefit the school including text books, teaching resources, a nutritious meal, a new classroom, or part of a teacher’s salary.

Kensington Tours clients wishing to pack gifts for children are encouraged to do so, however we ask that you coordinate with our office for recommendations on appropriate items and quantities.
