Where We Work

Kensington Cares is currently supporting four priority projects in communities in Kenya and Tanzania. By leveraging the in-country offices and staff of Kensington Tours, Kensington Cares is able to fulfill projects and donations without the common red tape and costly administration fees many organizations face.  Kensington Cares works closely with these organizations to determine priorities and initiate special fundraising  projects as needed.

Matumaini Centre: Molo Town, Kenya
Matumaini Centre (Kiswahili for Hope) is situated in rural Kenya some 10km’s from Molo Town. By Grace Orphanage: Nairobi, Kenya
By Grace Orphanage is both home and school for orphans of all ages in Nairobi, Kenya. Started by Salome Wambui Muturi (now known as “Grace”) several years ago when a few orphans needed a place to stay, today Grace has 250 children living and studying together in eight tiny rooms. …more details

Irbaan Primary School: Masai Mara, Kenya
Irbaan Primary School opened with three classrooms in November 2007 thanks to the generosity of international donors. But this is just a start. The school, which serves communities spread out for over the vast grasslands of the Mara region in Kenya, is still in need of support. …more details

Upendo Academy: Arusha, Tanzania
Upendo Academy is the labor of love of social worker Isabella Mwampamba who has committed herself and her home to providing a quality education to impoverished and marginalized children in the surrounding community. Two small classrooms currently teach 36 needy children, but next years enrolment will include 54 more pupils. …more details
